Job description

As a Lead Support you will make a real difference to the young adults that we support, in a fun and energetic environment.

The Role

As a Lead Support worker, you will work closely with the support workers and the young men we support. You will be required to take charge of a shift and offer support and advise to the support staff.

you will work closely with the home manager and the deputy manager, to ensure the highest standard of care.

you will be responsible for you own team of support workers and be given specific areas of responsibility.

No two days will be the same that’s for sure, you could find yourself one day, supporting a young adult swimming in our onsite swimming pool or supporting an individual to access the community.

About you

You may or may not have previous Lead support worker experience, it really doesn’t matter.

all we ask is that you have at least 2 years experience as a support worker, and a willingness to learn. previous experience as a supervisory position is preferred, weather this is in care or not, but this is not essential

We have learnt that many of the following words describe people who excel and enjoy working as a support worker: Kind, Reliable, friendly, Compassionate, Chatty and Honest. If you have a full UK driving licence that is a real bonus.
To comply with the health and social care regulations you will have needed to have received both Covid-19 vaccinations before start of employment.

Hours

We can offer contract from as little as 7.5 hours a week, we also have bank zero hour positions available.
If you wish to work full time, part time or bank we will provide you with 5.6 weeks a year holiday pay.
We can offer 2-week fixed rota Patten, meaning you will always know what your shifts are.
You have the choice to work long days, short days or night. Shifts are 7am-2:30pm, 2pm-9:30pm, 7am-9:30pm or 9pm-7:30am.
