Sewell Wallis are currently working with a leading financial services business based in Leeds, who are looking for some interim support for the next 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The role is for an Interim Senior Reporting & Analysis Accountant, where you will be required to deliver high quality reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board, to enable them to make strategic decisions. You will work closely across a variety of teamsincluding Commercial, Treasury and Credit Risk and must possess strong business partnering skills.
As the Interim Senior Reporting & Analysis Accountant, your role will include the following duties:
- Lead the delivery of insightful monthly Group financial reporting, which focuses on analysing performance against budget and identifies trends
- Assess key performance drivers with business leads to prepare analysis and commentary to aid key decision making
- Development of financial reporting tools and to deliver continuous improvement
- Business partner with multiple areas of the business so that people really understand where the numbers are coming from and any improvements required
- Develop new ways of analysing and communicating business performance to both internal and external stakeholders
- Produce high quality non-financial reporting to help deliver against strategic objectives through highlighting areas of success and areas needing further attention
- Take control of the relationship with external partners
- Support the delivery of strategic projects and ensure reporting is adapted to monitor performance
To be considered for this position, you will need to be available to start within the next month and you will be a fully qualified accountant. You must be an effective business partner with a strong commercial outlook, with excellent analytical skills.
