**Mechanical Assembly Operative**

We would like to expand our team and have opportunities for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to support our manufacturing and wiring team.

**Job Title**: Mechanical Assembly Operative

**Company**: Forwessun - Woodend Industrial Estate, L24

**Position Details**: Permanent, starting immediately

**Hours**: 37.5 Hours per week; Monday to Thursday - 08:30 to 17:00, Friday - 08:30 to 14:30

**Starting Salary**: £11.44 to £14 hour (Adjusted according to performance after a 3-month probationary period)
- Salaries in this role are affected by product experience and proficiency. Hourly rates achieved with experience and good performance range from £11.44/h to £14/h_

**Job Specification**

Forwessun supports the electronics industry worldwide and is currently looking to increase its manufacturing and assembly team.

The role will include:

- Working within a small, workshop based, manufacturing team
- Manual assembly of test fixtures;
- Screw fitting
- Hand drilling
- Use of pillar drill
- General hand tool usage
- Assembly of intricate small and large parts and some mechanical systems.
- Working with moving mechanical parts & vacuum powered mechanical systems
- Wiring of fixtures; use of a wire wrap gun and/or soldering iron
- Highly precise craftsmanship and high attention to detail
- Being able to work independently and efficiently
- Completion of QA checks throughout the manufacturing process, resolving issues found until systems work consistently and reliably
- Being aware of company health and safety requirements

Full training will be provided; however, a strong background of mechanical capability is suggested.
