**Purpose of the role**:
Colas Allied have an exciting opportunity for a civils operative to join the team in Leigh, all operative's need to have a flexible approach to working in these areas frequently on night shift and weekends, following successful training in your role will be an opportunity to work within this multi skilled team across any of our client locations, there is opportunity for development and progression within the team leading to promotion and greater responsibility, not only in Allied but the overall Colas Group.

Allied works on 95% of the UK’s commercial, private and military airfields offering specialist services, relating to maintaining or providing Airfield pavements and small civil engineering projects.

Allied provide a wide range of specialist maintenance which varies from Minor repair with specialist products, deep saw cutting, joint sealing, replacement of concrete pavement, replacement of asphalt pavement, installation of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) and associated civils, we work in all areas of the UK from Shetland to LandEnd and occasionally in Ireland. While our core business is Aviation we have a growing client base servicing Highways, local Authority, and private industry.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To undertake works as instructed by Management in accordance with the job sheet and method statement, taking cognisance of any risk assessments and COSHH assessments, ensure all Client SHEQ requirements are observed by all Allied personnel working on the site, responsible for Vehicle, plant and equipment issued, and maintain as per instructions, with storage in a neat and tidy manner, attend and participate in pre-start job briefings and carry out site safety inspections and ensuring any opportunities for improvement are addressed, to always work in a safe manner in accordance with the Company SHEQ Policy, plant and transport policy and the site rules, the core of the business is saw cutting concrete and asphalt, installation of AGL, surface preservation, and maintenance and Airfield pavements. Allied also carry out smaller civil engineering projects, you would be deployed to any such project.

Allied Infrastructure Management Ltd value experience as much as qualifications, however, it is essential the following are held as a minimum:
Driving Licence

CSCS card

You will also be expected to undertake training relevant to the position.
