Night Warehouse Assistant

**Days/Hours**: Monday to Thursday, 18:00-06:30, 48 hr week (Flexible hours may be required) **Role**: The night warehouse operative is responsible for stock movements, both internal and external and ensuring efficient stock control within the stores. This role also involves some delivery driving when the nights driver is not available. **Key Responsibilities**: - Utilize the stock control system, "Progress Plus," to record stock movements accurately and issue parts and components to job cards. - Maintain vehicles in a clean and functional condition, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure vehicles have sufficient fuel. - Address and report any stock errors, job card problems, or errors on work orders to the relevant team leaders. - Contribute to good housekeeping within the warehouse areas to ensure cleanliness and organization. - Operate equipment safely and promptly report any unsafe occurrences. - Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained. - Support the Stores Team Leader in analyzing stock trends, demand patterns, and sales data to optimize stock levels and ordering quantities. - Coordinate with the Logistics manager to address any delivery-related inquiries, concerns, or issues from customers. - Assist in the implementation of process improvements within the stores and deliveries department to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. - Participate in training sessions for new team members to ensure they are well-versed in delivery procedures, stock management, and safety protocols. - Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols and guidelines for delivery and stock management activities. - Assist the Stores Team with stock management based on priorities set by the Stores Team Leader. - Collaborate effectively with the Stores Team and other departments to ensure seamless operations. - Provide support in other areas of the stores and dispatch as required. - Maintain a professional personal image and contribute to the company's reputation and image. **Key Requirements**: - Full UK driver's license. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Computer literate. - Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure. - Self-driven and motivated to achieve results. - Strong sense of accountability and ability to take ownership of tasks. **Desirable Qualifications**: - Familiarity with inventory management software and systems. - First aid certification. - Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. - Experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating strong customer service skills. - Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment. - Awareness of company Health and Safety protocols. - Flexibility and adaptability to changing work hours. - Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively. - Forklift License. Core hours are Monday to Thursday, 18:00-06:30, however you may be requested from time to time to work outside these times. **Summary** As a Night Warehouse Assistant, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse during night-time hours.
