AHK has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Administrator to join our Precious Metal Department based in Prescot. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to a busy Laboratory team. As part of the job, you would haveto carry out office administration tasks and use various laboratory instruments.

Responsibilities & Skills
- File assay cards ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Prepare samples for archive on a regular basis ensuring accuracy at all times.
- To complete pre analysis scanning of Dore bullion material and perform the inventory documentation for sample return.
- Ordering of various specific consumables when necessary.
- To compile specific laboratory data and statistics ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Regularly update turnaround dates in the Laboratory systems.
- Review all training records and advise when review are necessary.
- Generate initial laboratory assay cards on select commodities, including LIMS set up.
- To complete post fire assay pilot analysis scans and associated calculations, XEPOS scans for anode slimes and catalyst.
- Database management (i.e. data accuracy) in accordance with the Company policy and procedures.
- Undertake responsibilities to ensure the consistency of the quality of services provided to clients; contributing and providing input to enhancements in systems to improve effectiveness and efficiency of such services.
- To undertake other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Line Manager.

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

Essential
- Communication: Good interpersonal skills able to communicate (verbally/written) and liaise professionally at all levels.

- A good understanding of quality of service and appreciation of factors involved in delivering a quality service.
- Excellent organization with a good attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive approach working from own initiative.
- IT Literate: Competence with standard Microsoft software packages and competent in preparing management information and report

Desirable
- Experience working within a Laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge of quality services and the factors involved in delivering a quality service.
