Matthew Kibble Transport Limited require an experienced Transport Planner to join their extremely professional team, based in BB9. This is an essential role to the business and where you will be tasked to ensure the transport operation plan is executed in accordance with any legal compliance, safety regulations and company policies.

What are we looking for?
- Previous experience working as a general haulage transport planner
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers and colleagues locally and throughout the MKT Logistics group
- You will understand the legal demands of working within the driving sector (such as WTD, LGV License requirements, Infringements etc)
- Experience of General Haulage & Pallet Network(s) would be an advantage
- Excellent IT skills
- Friendly telephone manner
- Excellent administrative discipline

What will I be responsible for?
- Effective management and planning of drivers
- Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers)
- Ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (WTD & EU drivers’ hours regulations)
- To ensure the daily plan is formed then, completed managing resources effectively, maximising utilisation whilst minimising cost
- Make use of planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency
- Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of their fleet
- Working hours are Monday to Friday early/late with weekend on call, arranged on rota. Although due to the nature of work some flexibility must be given.
