**Technical Architect**

**About us**

The Qualasept Pharmaxo Holdings Limited (QPHL) Group operates within the pharmaceutical aseptic compounding, clinical homecare and laboratory services sectors.
Qualasept Ltd t/a Bath ASU produces over 3,000 aseptically compounded injectable pharmaceutical products each day for hospitals and patients across the UK who are fighting cancer, living with chronic disease or in need of pain relief. Through our scientificand technology capabilities, the team continuously develops new and innovative methods to improve our products and services.

**Your role**

You will be responsible for:

- Providing a technical design authority for the department; taking overall responsibility for the design of solutions, their documentation and handover to support
- Ensure solution design meets business needs in all aspects including performance, availability, capacity, security, scalability and maintainability
- Work closely with our In-House developers to ensure both you and the Developers shape and implement the vision for the software/Solution
- Creation, maintenance and ownership of an effective IT Security Policy that protects the business whilst ensuring the business is able to take advantage of benefits from new systems and software. Own policy implementation ensuring security of data bothon prem and in cloud based systems, network access and backup systems is maintained
- Ensure adequate provision of business continuity with respect to IT systems. Plan, test and implement solutions to ensure risk to the business is maintained at an acceptable, agreed level
- Act as Project Lead for the IT department, delivering business and IT projects to scope, on time and to budget. Manage both internal and external resources as required in project delivery, tracking resources and work packages as required
- Providing visibility of workload, agreeing prioritisation with the Head of IT and reporting on delivery
- Take responsibility for data management throughout the data lifecycle, ensuring adequate backup and restoration of all on prem and cloud based systems is maintained and that data is retired in line with data retention policies
- Ensure GMP regulatory compliance of all IT systems, maintaining policies and procedures as appropriate
- Evaluation and implementation of new technology including cloud based systems to address business requirements.
- Act as the department’s technical expert; training and guiding team members in technology including cloud computing solutions and providing an escalation point for major issues
- Keep abreast of technology and IT-relevant regulatory developments, making recommendations to the Head of IT for change as required
- Participation in out of hours troubleshooting and maintenance work as required
