Senior Buyer

**About the role**:
You will be hands on in nature and have a keen eye for detail. You will be supporting our commercial team across all brands liaising with clients and suppliers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work alongside other departments to advise on costs and delivery of materials on a site-by-site basis
- While maintaining a high level of quality throughout, assist with the preparation of schedules and negotiate orders for materials with various external suppliers
- Develop the procurement strategy for approval by the senior Commercial team
- Evaluate supply markets and suppliers on a regional basis and implement supplier performance measurement systems.
- Monitor our invoicing procedures and resolve any issues
- Monitor and evaluate our stock, the quality of materials and the performance of our subcontractors
- Management and communications of National Agreements to the Business Unit
- Constantly seek ways to take cost out of the Business
- Undertake regular site visits
- Develop relationships with key suppliers to understand their business needs and purchase products that meet or exceed those needs.
- Meet with key suppliers to review current purchasing needs, identify new needs, negotiate prices, and develop business relationships.
- Develop pricing strategies for supply chain based on market conditions, customer needs, supply availability and cost factors.
- Review pricing agreements with key suppliers to ensure they are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all purchasing information is accurate at all times. This includes reviewing purchase orders to ensure accuracy, receiving invoices from suppliers, reviewing discrepancies to resolve and follow up on supplier complaints.
