Job Summary
The position will be based in Aberdeen but will require frequent travel to conduct simulator training and checking. The company currently operates an extremely attractive roster pattern at our Aberdeen base, alongside a competitive package with excellent T&Cs. Furthermore, an enhanced package will be awarded to a successful applicant currently qualified as a UK licenced H175 TRI/TRE.
Respons. & areas
**Line Flying**
- Responsible for the technical preparation of flights including, but not limited to, route planning, fuel calculation, performance limitations and general inspection of the helicopter
- Ensuring all pre and post flight administration is completed accurately
- Raising any reportable incidents and issues post flight via the correct channel.
- Conducting pilot duties whilst fully complying with all safety rules, requirements, limitations and SOPs with full regard to the helicopter type and scope of flight operation
- Ensuring all safety systems and equipment are functioning correctly
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of NHV Ops Manuals, Notices To Pilots, other related manuals, instructions and procedures
- Consistently demonstrating a good awareness of customer service requirements and understanding the client's business & needs, under the supervision of the Chief Pilot.
- Performing other assigned flying duties as required
- Occasional detachments away from home base
- Maintaining familiarity with all relevant national and international air legislation, agreed aviation practices and local procedures.
- Maintaining the correct standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance.
- Completing tasks allocated by the Chief Pilot as required
- Leading by example and promoting a team spirit amongst colleagues.
- Respecting the code of conduct and overall behaviour towards the whole NHV team, as well as adhering to the Drugs & Alcohol policy.
**Crew Training**
- General supervision of line flying operating standards of pilots on the fleet.
- Conduct of recurrent training and assessment for H175 pilots
- Conduct of training and Skill Tests for H175 Type Ratings
- Liaison with other NHV training organisations if required
- Contribution to evolution of H175 procedures and training programme to ensure best practice and regulatory compliance
- Delivery of training for new pilots, pilots engaged in command course training and on other occasions as required by the H175 Fleet Senior Training Captain and Training Manager
- Prompt and accurate completion and submission of NHV training report forms.
- Setting and maintaining the highest possible standards of line flying by personal example.
- Travel when required to conduct training
Experience
**Technical requirements**:
- Successful completion of North Sea command course
- UK ATPL(H) licence privileges
- Valid UK Class 1 Medical
- UK TRI/ TRE privileges on complex multi engine rotorcraft
- Valid UK IFR (H) Multi Engine privileges
- UK ATPL (H) theory and MCC certificate
- North Sea Oil and Gas operations command experience of at least 2 years total
- North Sea Oil and Gas experience within last 5 years
- EASA licence with TRI/ TRE privileges desirable but not essential
**Type rating**:
- H175 desirable
**Minimum flight hours**:
- 3000 total hours helicopter (but may be reduced by 1000 hours when total hours in similar aircraft complexity exceeds 1000 hours)
- 1500 total hours in command on helicopters (may include PICUS and up to 10% in a flight simulator)
- 1200 total hours in command multi-engine on helicopters (may include PICUS and up to 10% in a flight simulator)
- 500 hours similar complexity helicopter (may include up to 10% in a flight simulator)
**Skills**:
- English Proficiency Level 4 minimum
- Valid driving licence
- Sound ICT-knowledge (specific aviation software & administrative programs)
- Adheres to all company operational, quality and safety procedures & processes
- Flexible (e.g. for double crewing, standby storm duties...), a team player, result driven and customer focused
