Work Skills Tutor £23,500 - £25,500

**Introduction**

We are looking for a passionate and inspirational tutor/ educator who is a team player to deliver effective ‘essential skills for work’ to learners to support entry into employment, further education and work. You will take responsibility for your allocated learners and feedback progress to our Lead Curriculum Tutor.

We are specifically looking for Tutors who can deliver Work Skills and support the Lead Tutor to embed Numeracy and Literacy skills to the programme.

**DUTIES**
- To plan, prepare, facilitate, deliver and assess on Essential Work Skills programmes
- To complete detailed Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all learners and provide reviews accordingly.
- To prepare and amend Schemes of Work and Session Plans as required ensuring standardisation across programmes.
- Provide support, feedback and guidance to learners on programme ensuring regular contact is maintained
- Carry out assessments and provide robust feedback confirming assessment decision in accordance with the Awarding Body requirements
- Ensure timely achievements are met, including retention and achievement targets by implementing strategies and supporting learners
- Provide robust exit advice to learners as they set personal goals for career progression
- Liaise with the Lead Tutor regarding paper and online assessments and highlight any areas of concern with learners
- Address any actions identified by the IQA team within a period of 5 days
- Attend mandatory standardisation meetings and other meetings where required
- Process enrolment paperwork with Senior Administrator
- Respond to absences in line with our internal monitoring process

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

- PGCE/Cert Ed/PTLS/CTLS or equivalent
- Literacy/numeracy - Level 2 minimum
- Very good IT skills
- IAG Qualification at level 2 or above desirable
- Communication skills, organisational skills and able to work as part of a team
- Experience of delegating and co-ordinating work within the team
- Experience and understanding of pre-employment and skills/employability training for unemployed
- Enhanced DBS check (or update if required)
- Provide satisfactory referenced and prove eligibility to work in the UK
- Driving Licence / car for travel
