Newport, United Kingdom New Pathways Full time

To provide individual therapeutic counselling and support to children and young people under the age of 18 using a range of therapeutic interventions.
- To undertake assessments with potential clients and refer on to other agencies if appropriate.
- To complete all necessary paperwork and reports as required.
- To record & maintain accurate client and statistical data.
- To undertake client liaison work on the telephones whenever possible.
- To liaise with the Safeguarding Co-ordinator as required to flag up safeguarding concerns.
- To establish and maintain effective links with other agencies and attend meetings as required.
- To produce periodic reports as required, including output and outcome data, analysis and an evaluation of the impact of your work.
- To adhere to all New Pathways policies and procedures.
- To facilitate group therapy or other groups, as required.
- When working at office locations, offer a welcoming and non-judgemental environment to all service users and participate in office upkeep/safety related tasks.

- To actively contribute to the development and practice of a coherent, supportive, effective learning team.
- To work with other staff and volunteers to ensure best practice and continued development.
- To attend regular clinical supervision sessions as required.
- To adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics and any other relevant Code of Ethics (UKCP, BCP, etc.), including working towards and maintaining accredited status.
- To participate in the consultancy and research activities of New Pathways.
- To undertake relevant training as required.
- To undertake any other duties the manager may request, as required.

This role is for 15 hours / week.
