We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our strong and dynamic team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will be a core member of the Maintenance and Estates team, providing and maintaining the highest possible service to our Farnborough site, ensuring that all buildings and the grounds are maintained to safe and high-quality standards.

You will be providing a first-line maintenance service, supported by the Maintenance Lead of the group, responding to maintenance requests from simple electrical work to basic plumbing, fixtures, fittings and service requests.

Principal accountabilities:

- Ensure all patient and personal items and equipment are maintained and repaired to the highest possible standards
- Ensure all items and equipment owned and operated by the Group are maintained and repaired as required
- Actively participate in all efforts to maintain and develop the maintenance service to meet the group’s requirements
- Fully understand and maintain a cost-effective service provision that is efficient and effective at all times
- To ensure that all maintenance, paint and chemical store areas are kept locked and secure when not in use
- To possess a flexible approach to working hours based on the needs of the business
- Willingness to travel to other sites if required
- Maintain equipment, assets and building to exceptional standards, meeting Environmental Health and other Technical Memorandum guidelines.

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with ‘C’ in English and Mathematics
- BTEC or National Diploma/Certificate in engineering, general maintenance, electricals or alike is preferred
- Experience of working within a health or care-oriented business is preferable although not essential

**Salary**: £13.10-£13.50 per hour
