Mental Health & Learning Disability Hospitals and Mental Health Urgent Care is one of 5 operational directorates responsible for the delivery of
clinical services within GHC. The directorate has an annual turnover of over £30m and has over 600 colleagues working within it.
The directorate consists of Later Life and Working Age Adult Wards Including a PICU, Rehabilitation, Low Secure and Learning Disability Inpatient units as well as Crisis and Home Treatment Teams, Mental Health Liaison and Criminal Justice Liaison Teams.
Ensuring effective day to day operational delivery, supporting system flow by working closely with internal and external partner and stakeholders,developing new ways of delivering services and delivering services within a defined financial envelope are all key aspects of the role.
We are looking for a senior operational manager with experience within the NHS in acute and/or community mental health services. The ideal
Your solid communication and influencing skills, together with political astuteness and resilience will ensure you must have the ability to build
positive collaborative relationships within the Trust and in the broader health and social care system.
Continuing with the positive relationships with our local Acute Trust, Local Authority and Primary Care Networks as part of our commitment to the ICS are key are key to this role.

This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
