Roofer Multi-trader

We are currently recruiting for a roofer as we have a full time, permanent position available in Hampshire based in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

- Monday - Friday (40 hours)
- Portsmouth Based
- Salary: £33,200
- Overtime available
- 23 Days Holiday rising with length of service

**Responsibilities**:

- This is a mobile position, so maintenance of your work vehicle is an important part of your role.
- Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance and to ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.
- Carry out work in other trade areas, to a good standard, in order to assist the team when roofing demand is low.
- Set up controlled working area using barriers.
- Refer to generic risk assessments and carry out point of work risk assessments.
- Inspect roof defects to determine the best repair solution and methods.
- Repair and maintain flat, tiled, and slated roofs.
- Undertake minor carpentry work as necessary in association with roofing work and other projects.
- Carry out minor lead or metal flashing works in association with roofing work.
- Carry out minor repointing and brickwork associated with roofing work.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and returned promptly.
- Participate in an out of hours call out rota, when required.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent or 5 years' experience on site.
- PASMA trained
- Full current driving licence.
- A DBS check is required before commencing of the role

**Experience**
- Over 3 years trade experience, ideally in the commercial repairs sector.
- Other trade skills would be required as the work can be diverse
