There are two posts being advertised:
POST 1 - pro rata of 39 weeks per year (£6,512 - £6,941) and 10.51 hours per week.

POST 2 - pro rata of 39 weeks per year (£6,822 - £7,271) 11.01 hours per week.

We offer a wide range of courses to approximately 4,000 Adult learners throughout Calderdale, accredited and community-based learning. Our provision adapts to the needs of our communities. It offers a range of opportunities to learn, grow in confidence, gain the qualifications that support entering employment, career changes, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, improving emotional health and well-being, and gaining skills to help in daily life.

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant who can work across both our learning disabilities and mainstream provision. You must be empathic, patient and encouraging, to ensure learners can participate fully in their course and reach their individual goals. The learning support assistant will work closely with the tutor to ensure support is either on a one-to-one basis, or within a small group.

The contract will consist of an additional paid 20 hours annual CPD to enable you to access inductions and training within the service.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
