Retail Team Leader

If you’re great with people and have a talent for making the most of a shop’s potential, we’re looking for a Retail Team Leader in the National Trust shop at Corfe Castle. In this role you can help everyone to have an enjoyable and memorable day.

**Salary**:£24,862.50 per annum

**Contract**:Permanent

**Hours**:1950 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. Working days will usually be Sunday to Thursday, with hours varying seasonally.

Directly interacting with all the customers that visit our shops, our retail teams are in a key position to inform them of the amazing work we are doing as an organisation and where the money that is spent in our shops is being invested - whether this be investments in local projects or on funding our national strategy.

Corfe Castle is part of the wider Purbeck estate which stretches from Studland to Corfe Castle including coasts and countryside and holiday cottages.

The shop sits right in the village Square near the entrance to the Castle, which welcomes over 220,000 visitors a year, so we are a busy shop.

What you'll be doing:Working alongside the Retail Manager within a bustling retail location in Corfe Castle.

Your role as a Retail Team Leader will play a key part in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

You will be monitoring stock, merchandising a nd promoting products to help meet stretching financial targets, assisting with inducting and training team members, delivering fantastic customer service and cash handling.

You will be supervising Retail Team Members on a day to day basis, both paid and voluntary, who are passionate about our cause.

You'll help to manage the shop so that it’s both a delight for visitors and commercially successful. You’ll lead by example when it comes to focusing on income and profitability, which help to fund the National Trust’s vital conservation work.
