The fourth hotel to join the Splendid Hospitality Groups' portfolio for York, the Ibis York Centre, is an inviting budget hotel set in the heart of the city. The hotel boasts 91 modern and cosy en-suite bedrooms with free WiFi and satellite television, and there are plans to invest £1.5m in upgrading the hotel's facilities over the next two years.

Located at the gates of the city walls, the hotel is within walking distance of the main city centre and York Station and is 48km from Leeds Bradford Airport. The hotel also has a cafe and bar serving hot and cold snacks, a contemporary meeting room and car park for up to 20 cars.

This role is key in delivering the 'wow' factor to our guests as and when they interact with you in our splendid breakfast area.

Though this role is based mainly in the food and beverage area, as Guest Service Assistant your responsibilities include: upselling the hotel and local area plus overseeing a busy reception area, dealing with guests checking in/out, enquiries, whilst also having the experience to work in the bar, kitchen and restaurant areas, being flexible within their role supporting any department in line with business demands.
