**FEMALE Support Worker**
**Richmond**
**£15.00 - £17.00 per hour (based on previous experience)**
**A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work on a 2:1 basis as a Female Support Worker with a bubbly and engaging 15-year-old in Richmond who has a love of Music. She has a great sense of humour and needs her Support Worker’s to be engaging and interactivewith her whilst supporting her in her family home.**
**Hourly Rates
Saturday & Sunday
- £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
Bank holidays
- £20.00 - £22.50 per hour
**Support Worker shifts available:
- Saturday: 08.00am to 20.00pm (12 hours)
- Sunday: 08.00am to 20.00pm (12 hours)
Additional hours are available for after school hours Monday to Friday (15:45 - 22:15) and waking night shifts (22:00pm - 08:30am) as well as to cover holiday and sickness absences throughout the year
**The Client
Our Client has significant learning and physical difficulties and is non-verbal. She has complex needs in terms of her postural management and is fed through a gastrostomy and has epilepsy.Full training will be provided but experience of working with similarclients would be an advantage as well as working with families in their home which is a non-smoking environment.
The role requires the individual to undertake personal care, manual handling and administer medication.Participating in her rehabilitation programme following training from her MDT team may be required.
**Hobbies & Interests
**She is encouraged to live as full, active, and comfortable life as possible, so social, and recreational activities are vital, together with learning her communication strategies due to her being non-verbal.**
**She loves music, pampering having her hair and nails done, going for a walk, a drive in the car and swimming**
**With an out-going personality, she needs people to be bubbly, proactive, and creative with the willingness to join in on all her activities and rehabilitation programmes.At night she requires a calm, soothing and reassuring environment.**
**Experience & Qualities required for the role**:
- A Support Worker who has experience of working with children with physical and learning disabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to assisting the client in engaging in leisure activities and hobbies
- Understanding of the need for close observation at all times monitoring health and well-being
- Outgoing with a good sense of humour
- Willingness to have COVID Vaccine is desirable
- Full UK driving licence is essential
