Job: Private Clients Underwriter

**Salary**: £40,000

Location: Hybrid working - London/ Home

An Underwriting Agency based in City of London is looking for an Underwriter to join their Private Clients team. This will be on a hybrid working basis with 3 days in London office and 2 days working from home.

Main Duties:

- Managing Insurance needs for a range of Private clients
- Identifying clients insurance requiremnts
- Ensuring clients have the correct cover for them
- Underwriting of new business & renewal risks under a variety of delegated binding authorities.
- Conducting MTA's, Cancellations, and general referral queries
- Preparing and issuing insurance documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trading partners to maximize influence.
- Support the development and operation of sales campaigns to drive the acquisition of profitable business.
- Act as a point of technical referral to provide support and assistance to Underwriting Teams & Account Managers
- Liaise directly with insurers on technical referrals
- Understands the impact of claims and risk management on the performance of a case and demonstrates an ability to underwrite taking these factors into account.

Key Skills/ Requirements:

- Previous experience handling Household Insurance
- Experience with Mid and/or high net worth risks
- Operate within individual underwriting authorities and guidelines.
- Understanding company's position in the marketplace and key competitors
- Maintain and develop market awareness.
- Maintain good working relationships with all internal departments.
- Maintain an open communication ethos with colleagues and managers.
- Comply with all legal regulatory and contractual requirements to ensure obligations are met.
