The Enterprise and Growth Unit has a varied and exciting agenda and we work closely with a wide variety of other teams across the Treasury.

We also work alongside other departments and government organisations to ensure that we are thinking creatively, spending wisely and acting boldly to deliver these goals. These organisations are:

**About the Team**

We would like to recruit two people to the Special Situations & Companies and Sectors Resilience (CASR) team within the Companies and Economic Security (CES) unit in EGU. Special Situations & CASR is a dynamic, open and inclusive team of diverse people who support and develop one another, whilst undertaking challenging work to determine the Governments’ role in supporting firms and sectors. We are a team of 25 working on several high profile and exciting policy areas, which are a chancellor priority. The core role of the team is to assess and manage all requests to HMG for bespoke financial interventions for strategically significant companies and to provide far reaching analysis on vulnerable companies and sectors to influence HMT policymaking. The team is also heavily engaged in the development of cross-economy support schemes to respond to the impact of economic shocks (e.g. COVID-19 or the recent energy crisis). Our current cross-economy support work includes designing and implementing the Energy Markets Financing Scheme (EMFS) which is being introduced to address extraordinary liquidity requirements faced by energy firms from high and volatile energy prices. We are also leading HMT’s work on the BEIS-led Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS), through which the Government is supporting non-domestic customers with their energy bills.

We are looking for individuals both to support the Special Situations function of the team to manage casework related to strategically significant firms and to support our work on the cross-e
