**Purpose and Accountabilities**

The Head of Faculty will play a central role in forward planning and the further strategic development of the faculty resources to ensure that client’s objectives are achieved. As a member of the product's senior management team, the individual will have shared responsibility for strategic planning and policy formation, and for promoting and achieving the faculty’s goals. They will provide vision and leadership for the faculty’s operational services and processes. They will equip and enable the delivery of effective and efficient high-quality services in support of the faculty’s strategic aims.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Faculty Management**

a) Delivering a successful faculty engagement forum and brand in conjunction with the product heads and other teams as required

b) Running sales enablement events that frequently informs the team of the current state of faculty (leavers/new starters)

c) Develop a detailed understanding of the faculty’s specialisation portfolio, track record, training history, delivery style and audience preference, and can make programme allocation decisions as requested by the commercial and programme management team.

d) Develop and implement a one-to-one relationship management structure and associated processes to manage the faculty journey using the CRM system.

e) Maintain contact and engage with all applicants to the faculty throughout the recruitment/ onboarding cycle and recording in CRM system.

f) To act as a source of information and advice to all Faculty on policies and processes.

g) To ensure Faculty are familiar with and deliver to the Alpha standards of practice.

h) To monitor and evaluate delivery performance providing coaching and advice to Faculty Members.

i) Use Alpha Development curriculum resources to extend Trainers' capabilities by running regular trainer the trainer sessions and certifying trainers in extended areas of expertise related to their field or experience.

j) Act as an escalation point for trainer/faculty issues, establishing and embedding clear and realistic escalation protocols for what should be handled by the postholder and what should be handled by Programme Managers.

**Faculty Planning**

a) Ensure comprehensive event records are kept on shared systems accessible to other teams to aid planning and internal and external reporting, maintaining a robust and accurate database of client feedback scores and team feedback.

b) Manage and execute the planning exercise for delivery of the summer early career programmes. Produce an annual booking forecast/outlook to secure services of key trainers.

c) To monitor, develop and manage the faculty’s workload prioritising key trainers.

**Compliance and Financial**

a) Being an authorised signatory for the onboarding of Faculty and taking responsibility for routinely checking and approving onboarding forms and contracts.

b) Review of Faculty Financial Monthly Reports, monitoring variances, reporting on these, and discussing with the Finance team to provide commentary.

c) Management of the faculty budget, including forecasting, monitoring income and expenditure, approving travel, expenditure, and invoices on the basis of best value for money for the firm.

d) Negotiate and agree rates with Faculty and ensuring the faculty database is up to date.

**Organisational Excellence**

a) Responsible for maintaining a Faculty Risk Register, liaising with relevant risk owners to update quarterly and gain sign off from the Product Heads

b) Responsible for creating and monitoring the Faculty Strategy Action plan, in liaison with the CLO, monitoring progress and reporting back to the Product Heads and Associate Boards as required.

c) Assisting the CLO and/or Product Heads by compiling data and information and preparing reports, briefings, presentations, proposals and other documents as required.

d) Providing advice and guidance on a broad range of faculty related topics to product heads and programme managers, managing expectations and suggesting solutions to issues

e) Being fully aware of Alpha's strategy, policy, procedures, and activities in order to provide information and advice and understanding how this impact the work of the Associate Faculty network.

f) Designing, implementing and overseeing the use of appropriate databases for correspondence and documentation required to be retained on the faculty, ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any
