Westerlands are recruiting for the position of Domestic Assistant. The role involves working 5 days a week including weekends. This position covers general cleaning duties, laundry and pantry.

Overall summary and purpose of the role
- To ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness within the Home.

Tasks / Duties
- Cleaning all toilets and bathrooms in the Home
- Carry out regular checks on toilets and bathrooms to ensure high standard of cleanliness
- Carry out all hoovering and dusting within communal areas
- Mop and disinfect floors. Place “Wet Floor” signs as requried
- Shampoo carpets as directed by the Duty Manager
- Empty bins and maintain tidy bin area
- Ensure bins are taken to the top of the drive for Council collection on a weekly basis
- Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials, toilet rolls, soap and towels
- Communicate with Duty Manager where stocks of cleaning materials are running low to allow for re-order.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met in relation to cleaning activity.
- Provide cover for the Laundry department where required.
- Answer the door of the Home and follow the correct sign in procedure for visitors
- Follow all infection control, health and safety and fire procedures.
- Any other relevant duties which may be considered appropriate to the post.

Applicants must have previous experience in cleaning and working to high hygiene standards. COVID standard protocol cleaning in operation.
