Dental Receptionist

We are recruiting for a highly motivated and organised Dental Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator for our mixed NHS/Private dental practice in Leighton Buzzard
Purpose of the job:
To provide support and training to the practice's reception team, with focus on administration, customer service and reception processes. You will work closely with the Head Nurse and Practice Manager to ensure the practice day runs smoothly and the departments work together to ensure all practice goals are met.
Responsible to: The Practice Manager
Employment Duties:
- Maintaining quality assurance for clinic practices and patient records in compliance with the CQC.
- Facilitate the daily operations of the Dental Clinic by coordinating patient care and treatments.
- Act as a liaison between clinical and non-clinical team
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Complete induction for all new reception staff and provide thorough training and ensure they are aware of our practice ethos and values.
- Work along reception team
- complete Audits and admin logs; check completion on a daily basis
- Complete ‘end of day’ cashing up and Rectify any discrepancies
- Assist the Practice Manager to reduce and eliminate any bad debt. This may include chasing patients and reinstating finance plans.
- See patient refunds through to completion and update SOE as and where needed. These are to be added to a spreadsheet and sent to the practice manager at the end of each month.
- Follow practice policies and procedures and to monitor the reception staff to ensure this is carried out
- Follow industry guidelines, policies and procedures set by the relevant governing bodies in Dentistry.
- Liaise with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning finance, administration, pay and service conditions.
- Ensure customer services is provided to all patients and to the highest standard
- To be flexible with your duties to ensure the smooth running of the Practice, and take ownership of your tasks to make sure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Have a positive and approachable demeanour
- Assist the Practice Manager with admin tasks and work together to think of ideas to reach the practice KPI’s
- Full diary management over all clinicians and ensuring all appointments are booked correctly
- Double checking consents and TP's are signed and sent for all patients
Knowledge / Experience
- Experience in helping and training new members of the reception team along with managing their own work load.
The practice is open
Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 18:00
Fridays - 08:00 - 14:00
Saturdays : Occasional.
Competitive salary depending on experience.
**Salary**: Up to £10.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
