We’re currently looking for an Engineering Stores Controller to join our team on a full-time basis.

**The Role**
As the Engineering Stores Controller, you will support planned maintenance activity through the effective management of all stocks of engineering spares and equipment.
Working with other departments to ensure we can meet stock ordering needs, you will co-ordinate and assemble 'Job in a Box’ (JIB) items whilst undertaking a range of stock control activities.
Additionally, your role will involve:
- Maintaining and updating the IT stock control system
- Ensuring optimum stock levels are maintained
- Seeking to avoid stock-outs
- Putting together JIB items in readiness for planned maintenance activities
- Returning un-used JIB items to the stores
- Preparing daily and weekly PPM schedules
**About You**
- Experience of working within engineering departments in a supporting role
- An understanding of engineering terminology
- Knowledge of IFS
- A Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck licence
- Excellent communication skills, seeking to input ideas, plans and priorities
- An ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards
- Good general IT literacy and the ability to do simple analysis and populate simple databases and spreadsheets effectively
- GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above in Maths and English
This role will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Other organisations may call this role Stores Controller, Stores Person, Parts Controller, Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, or Production Maintenance Technician.
