We are looking for motivated individual to join our friendly team of nursing staff. We are looking to recruit full time Healthcare Assistant - for 37.5 hours per week, to be part of our already outstanding team of HCAs who are extremely supportive and provide excellent care to patients. We have various link nurse roles on the ward and encourage HCA's to pursue and expand their knowledge in an area of nursing that interests them.

Hanham Ward is a 21 bedded ward in Wimborne hospital providing high quality rehabilitation and end of life care to patients in the surrounding area. The multi-disciplinary team on Hanham consist of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, advanced nurse practitioners, ward Doctor and nursing staff. We are a motivated, friendly, supportive team and adopt and promote a calm and therapeutic approach to care.

This is a really exciting time to join Hanham ward as we are looking at upskilling our HCAs. We would be willing to discuss fixed or flexible working depending on your needs and are able to offer the following shift patterns:

- Long days (07:30-20:30),
- Early shifts (07:30-15:30),
- Late shifts (12:30-20:30)
- Nights (20:15-07:45).

The role of the Healthcare Assistant involves dealing with personal care of patients, dealing with activities of daily leaving, participating with therapy team to promote rehabilitation of patients. You will be required to:

- Assist registered nursing staff in providing high quality individualised nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers.
- assist the multidisciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge
- Participate in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients.
