We are currently working with a well-known material testing company in Northamptonshire who are looking to hire a Laboratory Technician for their Household testing department.
The company are well established and have been operating for almost 100 years now, serving customers worldwide. They have a positive history of hiring junior technicians and progressing them throughout the company, offering good benefits and training opportunities.
**Job Duties**:
As a Technician, you will be responsible for the testing of materials and products within the household department. You will work to British and European standards, checking that the products stand up to regulations.
- Operating test equipment to generate results
- Recording of results in preparation for test reports
- Preparing test samples prior to testing
- Maintain tidiness of testing areas
- Maintaining sample storage

**Job Requirements**:

- GCSE's in English, Mathematics and Science, grade C or above
- Highly organised and enthusiastic to learn
- Good communication skills
- Competent with MS Office products
- A keen eye for detail
