You'll be working for **British Gypsum in East Leake**. **Is this role right for me?**

This exciting role will see you working in the Mill department. Working on a variety of fully automated equipment with a high level of autonomy, you will expected to maintain and drive World Class Performance as part of a small but high performing team.

As a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Production Team, you will be responsible for meeting the desired level of plant output to ensure that the product is delivered to the next process step in a condition that is ready for further processing intoplasterboard and plasters. This will be achieved using the agreed safe operating standards and quality procedures, while adhering to and promoting both the Saint-Gobain attitudes and the British Gypsum principles of conduct.

**For the production operative role specifically, it is important that you have**:

- Experience in delivering high levels of productivity, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative
- Coming from a background of continuous manufacturing is desirable, however we will consider a range of backgrounds.
- Have a growth mind set and own your personal development to maximise your potential.
- Work under pressure
- TBRA/SOPs experience would be an advantage

**What will you be doing in the role?**

In the role as Production Operative, you will:

- Maintain and promote safe working standards with an absolute commitment to your own and others' safety.
- Work to agreed standards and procedures relating to safe working, including PPE requirements.
- Ensure all required data and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Have a good understanding of product quality, standards and customer requirements.
- Be planned, organised and focused in order to meet production performance requirements.
- Embrace a diverse range of operational tasks and show flexibility to use your skills to support business needs
- Use the control system to operate the running of equipment in line with production schedules and maintenance requirements
- Carry out autonomous maintenance tasks
- Material sampling and analysis
