**About the Role**

The role represents an excellent opportunity to join our Jersey office working across a broad range of transactions and to make a significant contribution to our dynamic and growing practice. Opened in 2018, Maples and Calder provides premium quality Jersey legal advice to the corporate, finance, investment fund sectors and, through Maples Fiduciary Services (Jersey) Limited, the Maples Group offers complementary entity formation and corporate /administration service solutions. There is an exciting, diverse and healthy mix of opportunities generated by the local team and referrals through our global colleagues, with a focus on prestigious cross-border mandates for blue-chip and institutional-level clients.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Advising on a range of corporate matters, including cross-border M&A, IPOs and private equity transactions
- Advising on a range of cross border corporate real estate transactions
- Advising blue-chip clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice on formation, ongoing legal and regulatory compliance, restructuring and termination of different types of investment vehicles and other entity types
- Working with a client base that focuses on international investment managers and sponsors and with onshore law firms in major financial centres
- Engaging in business development activities, being active in the promotion of the firm and seeking opportunities for new work and cross-selling
- Working as part of a team and in daily interaction with the partners and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience by managing junior lawyers
- Participating in global and local CSR projects and initiatives
