The Strategic Procurement Team also provide procurement services to a number of other external clients including district and borough councils.
We are seeking to recruit a Contracts Officer within the Strategic Procurement Team. The post holder will have responsibility for:
- Supporting the Procurement Strategy, Systems and Compliance Manager in supporting procurement and contract compliance across all areas of the organisation ensuring new compliance and transparency requirements with the Procurement regulations are delivered
- Reviewing contract management principles across the organisation and supporting line manager in the review, changes and implementation of the framework for best practice contract management including sustainability and social value
- Assist in developing and supporting systems, tools and templates to enable the Council to deliver its priorities and achieve value for money across its commercial activities
You will also have a high level of personal drive, strong interpersonal skills, a positive can do attitude and relevant experience. This role is well suited to a highly motivated positive individual who is seeking a real opportunity to make a difference and work with the team to drive improvements into commercial practices across the whole organisation.
