**Salary**: £27,463 - £35,584 (SCP 26 - SCP 35)
**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
In support of the Service Manager, Business and Facilities, to oversee and support project plans and schedules in accordance with timescales and budgets, including a requirement to keep up to date on all aspects of jobs running concurrently, assigning resources as required, and ensuring work programmes are compiled and fulfilled within all areas of the Business and Facilities remit. In addition, responsibility to advise on the organisation’s health and safety responsibilities and functions.
**Under the direction of the Service Manager, Business and Facilities, co-ordinating the delivery of all planned and reactive maintenance, small works, and projects within the Business and Facilities remit and across all areas/services within Rossie**:
- As directed by the Service Manager, ensure maintenance and projects within the Business and Facilities remit are completed in a timely manner;
- Ensure appropriate project delivery taking full cognisance of budgetary factors and constraints;
- As directed by the Service Manager, ensure deployment and oversight to ensure that effective delivery of projects and tasks can be achieved via the organisational task management system;
- Assist in the creation and development of planned maintenance and project plans as required by the organisation;
- Proactive involvement in organisation of meetings and events as well as discussions with the Maintenance Team to ensure effective and timely progress of all work;
- Timely and effective interaction and communication with appropriate stakeholders both internal and external to Rossie;
- Provision of regular project updates to the Service Manager and operational managers as prescribed;
- Monitoring the projects being undertaken, gathering data and intelligence from a range of internal and external sources to inform the delivery of specific projects;
- Undertake any risk assessments, as required, during the co-ordination of projects and maintenance activities;
- Facilitate, attend and participate in maintenance/project specific meetings with staff and external stakeholders;
- Assist the Service Manager with Financial Planning and regulation of projects; having delegated authority for spending to an agreed level for purchases to progress projects within the maintenance services.
- Support staff within the Maintenance Team to achieve results by communicating job expectations; planning; monitoring and appraising job results;
- Provide direction and oversight to maintenance staff, within Business and Facilities Department, to progress projects within this service;
- Conduct informal oversight of Maintenance Team to ensure barriers/challenges to achieving project delivery is minimised to allow a timely delivery of task;
- Consult with the Service Manager on a regular basis to ensure full awareness of staffing matters and delivery timelines in relation to the Maintenance Team.
**Effective and efficient delivery of all maintenance and project tasks to ensure accuracy of delivery within best value criteria and in line with the needs of the service and the organisational Business Plan**:
- Develop appropriate and accurate evaluation tools to ensure that post delivery of minor works and projects can be analysed, including analysis of feedback;
- Consider post project evaluations with a view to recommending improvements that will provide a better experience for Rossie colleagues, and those using Rossie’s services;
- Ensure cost effective and time efficient methods have been utilised throughout all project work;
- In consultation with the Service Manager, identify any post project risk factors;
- Assess the contribution of completed projects against the current organisational Business Plan;
- Assist with measures/projects to safeguard Rossie’s business continuity, with specific attention to risk management.
**To actively conduct and progress appropriate research and inventive funding opportunities and streams to further enhance Rossie as a business**:
- As directed by the Service Manager, undertake research to develop regular and sustained funding streams for the organisation;
**On behalf of the Service Manager, and/or on behalf of the Business and Facilities, provide effective supervision and first line management support to members of the Maintenance Team inclusive of delegation of tasks and oversight of delivery of team tasks and projects.**
- Provide effective oversight and guidance to members of the Maintenance team of the Business and Facilities department, ensuring delivery of effective and efficient service in order to achieve Rossie’s objectives in line with the Business Plan;
- Responsible for identifying and addressing staff performance issues with the Maintenance Team, and ensuring staff adhere to Policy and Procedure, and Rossie’s values and associated behaviours.
