**What's the background?**

Coincidentally this Marketing Manager role is with another recruitment agency that we know and love a lot. Don't let that put you off as they're not the type of recruitment agency that you've probably conjured up in your head based on experiences with thearchetypal recruitment business. These guys are doing it properly, hence why they invest in and believe so strongly in having a great Marketing team.

Whilst there is already an existing Marketing team, the Marketing Manager role is a new one for them. Previously the team 2 x Apprentices and 1 x Marketing Executive have been managed by the Operations Manager but they now want to bring in an experiencedMarketing Manager to really drive performance and take things to the next level.

**Responsibilities**:
The team are already doing some great work so this isn't a situation where you'll need to come in and do a complete overhaul. It's more about a few tweaks here and there, looking where improvements can be made, and maybe adding a cherry on top when a finishingtouch is needed.

The goal is to transition from an outbound sales model to picking up inbound leads. Testimony to the outstanding service they deliver they're already achieving 80% of all business coming as repeat orders from existing clients. So it's that 20% remainingthat they strive to be fully inbound, and then look to grow that to becoming 25%, then 30% reflecting a growth in inbound lead generation.

This will be achieved through a great content strategy and positioning the business as a thought leader in their space. The primary platform for recruiters is LinkedIn but there's scope to drive written, graphic, and video content on there, both from thebusiness but also from the individual recruiters.

However, to really start to drive added value there also needs to be work done on the customer journey, customer personas, automation, and improving data driven insights.

**Experience needed**:
As the Marketing Manager you will need to have experience of leading a marketing team or capability to step into a leadership role. You'll be a generalist marketer able to leverage on your experience across content, website management, SEO and PPC, campaigns,and design although it's not expected for you to be an expert in all these areas. You will need to be a skilled writer though and someone who is able to think creatively.

Whilst the Management team are fully appreciative of the value great marketing can bring, the recruiters are less aligned. Therefore, you'll need to be a fantastic influencer and relationship builder to change their perspective and get them to start buildingup their own personal brands.

**Benefits**:

- Their office is on the outskirts of Preston but this is a flexible, hybrid working arrangement
- The salary is up to £40,000
- 20 days annual leave
- Hours 8.30 - 5.30
