**Autism Support Worker**

**Location: New Romney**

**£12.00-£24.20 an hour**

Superior Healthcare is urgently seeking experienced Autism Support Workers who want the variety offered by working for an agency to join their team.

Superior Healthcare is a leading healthcare agency with more than 100 care settings including nursing and residential care homes with the option of working in supported living houses and learning disability placements in New Romney and within a feasible distance of your home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality personal care and support to clients
- Follow care plans and risk assessments to meet the needs of clients
- Assist with the administration of medication
- Show strong empathy, communication skills and a good sense of humour
- Accommodate the needs of the people we support by using the company car
- Ensure that accurate and up-to-date records are maintained
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals

**Requirements**:

- 6 months of previous paid experience working as a support worker within the UK.
- Hold a manual UK Driving Licence and be willing to drive the company car
- Demonstrate experience in supporting a person with autism
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of positive behaviour support and behaviours that can be challenging
- Ability to commit to at least 24 hours of work per week
- **Access to your own vehicle is essential for this role**
