Goods Receiving Inspector - Permanent - Cheltenham - £31,000-£34,000
Shorterm Group are currently working with a leading Aerospace manufacturing and engineering company who are looking for an experienced Goods Receiving Inspector to join their team.
The Goods Receiving Inspector will conduct inspection tasks on good received from their worldwide base of suppliers. In addition to assist and develop the suppliers understanding of the Inspection requirements which may also take place, voluntarily, at thesupplier premises.
Responsibilities of the role:
Visual inspection of components for acceptance of identify defects to the manufacturers original design.
Analyse aircraft history to ascertain full traceability, acceptance ad correct Logging of parts.
Follow component maintenance manuals, engineering layouts and additions to the original design - such as Service Bulletins, Service letters and Airworthiness directives.
Inspecting all goods, parts and materials coming into the company to ensure they meet desired manufacturing specifications.
Create detailed sequence of processes and engineering method statements for repairs of complex components along with the compilation of appropriate quality assurance documentation.
Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment.
Desirable experience in the following:
Previous experience working in Aerospace
Attended a Part 21G refresher within a 2 year period
Has attended training or is certified for bogus and counterfeit parts training.
Experience or certified in FOD control
Trained or certified in Human Factors awareness.
