**Property Management Officer**

**DBE Services** supports over 400 schools across the north of England with capital, planned maintenance and emergency work to their buildings. We have a small, dedicated team who handle requests from schools for repair work and quotes, and ensure that skilled and qualified contractors visit the school as soon as possible. You don’t need any building knowledge for this role a full training and support will be given.

The main purpose of this role is to receive requests from schools for maintenance or emergency work to their building, and then work with colleagues and contractors to action these requests.

It is important that you have a good telephone manner and are accurate and efficient at processing and recording data.

Record keeping is at the heart of our management systems so you will need to have a good command of written English and efficient computer keyboard skills.

You will need be familiar with Word and Excel. Training will be given on our bespoke property management system.

**Main tasks**:

- Liaise with contractors to place requests for call outs, quote requests and quote acceptances.
- Work closely with colleagues, schools and contractors to ensure quote and job requests are actioned quickly, checked and provided to schools.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any issues relating to the work of contractors or their relationship with schools and DBE Services.
- Ensure that everything is logged on to the property management data base, and ensure all entries are kept up to date.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that contractor invoices are efficiently passed on to schools and recorded on our systems.
- Chase schools when invoices remain outstanding.
- Liaise with colleagues managing servicing and capital work to ensure that an integrated approach is delivered to schools.
- Liaise with colleagues over the provision and performance of contractors.

**Job Types**: Part-time Permanent - hours to be discussed. Term Time Only considered.

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year. We are a Living Wage employer

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday; office hours are 8am-5pm which need to be covered by the staff team

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- Office-based at Blackburn, BB1 2QE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- 5 GCSEs or equivalent - including at least a grade 4 or C in maths and English (required)

**Experience**:

- Administrative: 2 years (preferred)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 14 - 21 per week

**Salary**: £11.53 per hour
