**Job Purpose;**

Managing specific suppliers and business requirements through the procurement process. Identifying opportunities for cost saving and improvement throughout this process.

**Key Responsibilities;**
- Daily management of suppliers.
- Management of MRP system and processing data in line with business requirements.
- Update system and ensure it is maintained daily with most up to date information.
- Reacting to demand in system and ensuring actions are taken to mitigate any risks.
- Run daily reports and analyse data.
- Raising Purchase Orders and Call Off Orders.
- Maintaining stock levels to support sales and monitoring levels to ensure efficient stock holding.
- Seeking out and following through with cost saving opportunities with existing suppliers.
- Proactively develop market and technical awareness.
- Provide technical advice and support sales team.
- Promote professional behaviour with an ethical approach.
- Monitor and feedback on supplier performance - raising issues where appropriate and mitigate poor performance.
- Develop and recommend new supplier relationships.
- Run reports on a regular basis showing performance.
- Involvement of introducing new or alternative materials into the product range.
- Involvement of new product development and innovation within the range through the New Product Development process, incorporating the co-ordination of the gateway process.
- Standardisation of the component offering where possible, reduce complexity, and improve purchasing power.
- Liaise with warehouse, logistics team and supply chain as needed.
- Effective communication with other business functions.
- Any ad hoc duties required within the department.

**Knowledge & Skills;**
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and planning skills.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Effective relationship builder.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of SAGE ERP system would be beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
- Team Player.
- Capable of working with mínimal supervision.
- High integrity, dependable and trustworthy.

**Education & Experience;**
- English and Maths essential.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Relevant experience and knowledge of procurement practices and processes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
