Marlborough Golf Club is a modern 18-hole members club set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Founded in 1888 it prides itself on being a huge part of the local community. It has established itself as Wiltshire’s unique parkland and downland experience and is also one of the finest courses in Wiltshire. The Club have just acquired all new machinery and is also in the process of updating the entire irrigation system with a state-of-the-art system by Toro the leading brand in the industry.

Marlborough Golf Club is looking to recruit a passionate, hardworking and experienced **Deputy Head Greenkeeper**. As Deputy Head Greenkeeper you will be supporting the Head Greenkeeper in managing this fantastic golf club to the highest of standards and play a very important role in assisting the management of the dedicated greenkeeping team.

- Assist in the training of the team.
- Work alongside the Head Greenkeeper to lead and motivate the team daily.
- Be a team player working well with colleagues.
- Hold excellent interpersonal skills.
- Lead the team in the absence of the Head Greenkeeper.
- Be mechanically minded to assist in the repair and set up of machinery.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in greenkeeping.
- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Sports turf.
- PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying certificates.
- A good knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Mechanically minded to assist in the repair and set up of machinery.
- Chainsaw qualifications (Desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience as a Deputy Head Greenkeeper or similar level of responsibility.
- IT literate and experience with implimenting risk assessments, and managing team training compliance via an online trainng portal such as Xact or Ground2Control.

**Schedule**
- Shift pattern will vary depending on seasonal hours
- Weekend work required (usually 1 in 5 weekends) at overtime rate

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
