**As HSEQ Advisor**, you will be responsible for providing support to the health, safety, environment and quality assurance side of the business. You will work alongside the HSEQ Manager ensuring that the day to day HSEQ management systems run proactively and efficiently.

**Main Accountabilities and Duties**:

- Creating, enacting and updating job safety programmes for employees that encompass government health, safety, environmental regulations and quality standards; ensuring company standards are maintained within the workplace
- Assisting with the training of employees
- Preparing data for safety meetings and taking minutes
- Presenting safety principles to employees in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
- Supporting the HSEQ Manager with auditing operations; ensuring that unsafe behaviour or breaches in regulations are accurately monitored
- Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
- Creating analytical reports of safety data
- Assisting with inspecting production equipment and processes to ensure they are safe
- Ensuring maintenance procedures are followed and controlled correctly
- Assisting with the creation of safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes
- Sharing information, suggestions and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the company
- Ensuring all company health and safety goals are achieved
- Assisting with accident and incident investigations
- Under supervision, liaise with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident
- Assist with the control and prevention of accidents and incidents
- Supporting with the reviewing and reporting on the employee's compliance with health and safety rules
- Assisting with third party approvals
- Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques

**Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels
- Flexible attitude and approach
- Self-motivated with an interest in further learning and developing in the role
- Strong team player with willingness to share knowledge
- Well organised, reliable and focused with a high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines with good time management skills
- Ability to use your knowledge and experience to introduce new ideas/systems which will benefit the company
- Knowledge/experience of the construction industry.
- NEBOSH certificate, general or construction is required.
- A full driving licence is essential

**Hours and Environment**:
The role is office based working at our Head office in Galley Common. You will be required to travel to various customer sites as required to meet the operational requirements of the business. The hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. However, some reasonable flexibility outside of these hours may occasionally be required. Minimum 40 hrs per week.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year
