Westy Hall is a purpose-built residential care home approximately two miles from the centre of Warrington town centre and one mile from Latchford village.
Westy Hall has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere Well-trained staff with rooms for up to 42 residents. We pride ourselves in providing 24-hour care and specialised services for older people, the beauty of our grounds, the quality of our catering and our engaging activities we deliver.
Here at Westy Hall we are currently recruiting for an Activities Coordinator to join our welcoming, qualified, enthusiastic, care and team.
As an activities coordinator, you will organise a varied programme of social, cultural and recreational activities, tailored to meet individual needs, promoting independence and making each day of residents lives as fulfilling as possible.
We have 25 hour post available. Shift pattern covers working over 5 hour shifts, 5 days per week, hours of work negotiable. Alternate weekends.
Our management team strive to support new and established staff team members to promote staff development by providing;
- Personalized fully structured induction package to get you off to a flying start
- Delegated mentorship to support you throughout your induction and beyond.
- Individualized personalized training packages accessible to each staff member.
- Regular feedback, sharing ideas, honesty, trust, respect and responsiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Offering meaningful activities as a means of continuous growth in the quality of life, providing a sense of purpose for residents, according to their needs and as agreed in their individual care plans.
- Offer stimulation of body and mind, both planned and spontaneous, to encourage residents to live the life they choose within the local community and interacting with social media.
- Work with staff, families and volunteers within the home and local community in order to enhance the care and support of residents.
Examples of activities that would be beneficial; Music and movement (gentle exercises) to encourage movement of feet and hands; games and quizzes; ball games, such as skittles; sewing groups; painting groups; reminiscence therapy including old newspapers and discussing life experiences
