**Job description - Furniture Delivery Driver**

**Overview**

Furniture delivery driver - driving 3.5T manual Luton vans - permanent role - Harrogate based - delivering as part of a two-person team, across Yorkshire and some longer runs across the UK - assembling furniture - lifting and manoeuvring heavy/bulky furniture - high level customer service.

This vacancy requires someone who already has experience of furniture delivery and ideally assembly too.

**About the role**

Our drivers deliver and assemble furniture in the homes of our customers and must at all times uphold our reputation for excellent customer service.

You will mostly be working as part of a two-person team, driving or assisting the driver in one of our 3.5T Sprinter-type Luton vans.

When not out on the road you will be supporting in the warehouse, loading our vans, receiving deliveries and putting items into stock.

A large proportion of our deliveries are within Yorkshire, however we regularly have longer runs across the UK, which in some cases require overtime and occasional overnight stops.

Uniforms are provided and the normal working week is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

**About you**

You will have held your full driving licence for at least two years and be able to drive a 3.5T manual van. You must have no more than 6 points on your driving licence and live within 30 minutes of our store.

You will have experience of furniture delivery and ideally assembly too.

You must have excellent communication skills and be friendly, polite and approachable. You will be representing our brand when talking to customers and must uphold our reputation for excellent customer service at all times.

You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and positive team player, happy to be an essential member of a small team. Able to show initiative when dealing with different situations as they arise. It is essential that you are punctual and reliable.

You will have the physical capabilities to lift heavy items of quality furniture and beds, as part of a two-person team.

You will have the manual dexterity to assemble some items of furniture, eg beds and headboards, wardrobes, etc.

**About the offer**

We offer pay of £25,415 per annum. In addition we have a discretionary bonus scheme, which you will be able to join after a probationary period. We offer 20 days annual paid holiday plus bank holidays. There is a company pension scheme and a staff discount is available on furniture and flooring. A uniform is provided.

You will receive manual handling training on joining us and other training as required for the role.

**Salary**: £25,415.00 per year
