Buyer - Permanent - Shrewsbury

L & C Consulting are working with a Shrewsbury based concern to recruit for a new Buyer. Based in modern offices, this role will be working within the purchasing team and covers all areas of procurement / supply chain management.

Based in a small, dynamic team, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

- Manage existing supplier relationships & develop new ones
- Contract and performance negotiation
- Source new products
- Working with relevant internal departments (QC, Compliance etc)
- Admin support
- Reporting

To be considered for this excellent opportunity within a corporate style organisation, you will ideally have worked in a similar Purchasing / Buyer / Procurement role previously.

You will posses a high attention to detail, be well organised, motivated, reliable and flexible in your work. You will also be able to demonstrate an analytical approach, be IT literate (Ms Excel, SAP) and excellent communication skills.

You will ideally be CIPS qualified (or studying toward) as well as educated to a minimum of A Level standard.

The Shrewsbury based site is commutable from Telford, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton,

Stafford, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge etc
