Who are we?

Downview Residential Home is a well-established, highly regarded, small family run home in the heart of Hungerford. We are close to Marlborough and West Berkshire.

What do we do?

We support 7 people, all with a learning disability to live an independent a life as possible.
We have a team of 10 support workers, a senior, a deputy and a manager as well as our care home dog Rodney We like to be involved with the community and part of what we do involves empowering people to choose the activities that they want to do.

Who are we looking for?

We have a brilliant opportunity to join our team as a support worker with hours on a Sunday, every other Sunday. We are ideally looking for a team member with relevant experience in care and mandatory training - It is very important that our care workers have the qualities that suit the role and training will be offered, however we always value passion, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn above anything else. We will support you to grow and develop.
Responsibilities include:

- Providing personal care, domestic tasks and household related support where necessary
- Providing boundaries and direction around positive behaviours.
- Promoting choice and independence.
- To support the home’s residents to live a life as full as possible and to engage with the community.
- Provide physical and emotional support, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
