**General Operative**

**Location: Warrenpoint**

**Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent**

**Salary: Competitive**

**Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm**

**Closing date - Friday March 17th at 5 pm.**

**Duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Basic Health and Safety awareness, including manual handling.
- Operate woodwork machinery.
- Quality checking and fault identification.
- Packing products.
- Basic wooden floor assembly.
- Operate machinery or equipment, including forklifts & Panel saws, to load and unload supplies.
- Clean and maintain equipment and materials.
- Maintain excellent timekeeping and work effectively as part of a team.
- Assist other employees with tasks as required.
- Keep working areas clean and tidy, free from debris.
- Work on your own initiative as needed.

**Other Duties**:

- Assist all areas where necessary across the business in support of company-wide objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- To work effectively with other teams and departments.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

**Person Specification**

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A willingness and desire to learn various aspects within a busy production environment.
- Working as part of a team and on own.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks.
- Ability to work to a high standard of quality.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Proactive and able to use own initiative.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Experience working in a warehouse or construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety in the workplace.

**Essential**:

- Valid forklift licence is essential.

**Desirable**:

- Previous knowledge of working with wooden floor coverings would be of an advantage, but full training will be provided.
