As an Asset Surveyor at Flagship Group, you will play a crucial role in delivering customized technical support and guidance on asset-related queries. You will actively participate in the ongoing development and enhancement of our support services, working closely with our housing, neighbourhood, and tenant voice teams. Your expertise in diagnosing complex repair issues, managing cases of damp and mould, and addressing disrepair issues will be essential. Additionally, you will handle tenant complaints and oversee the procurement of external works, ensuring consistency and coordination in all operations.
This role covers the following areas: Ipswich Borough Council, Colchester Borough Council, Babergh District Council, Braintree Borough Council, West Suffolk Council, Mid Suffolk District Council, Tendring District Council, and East Suffolk Council.
You will provide expert advice on asset management and facilitate effective communication among teams. Diagnosing complex repair issues and managing cases of damp, mould, and disrepair will be a significant part of your role. You will address and resolve tenant complaints efficiently, and oversee the procurement of external works for tenants, ensuring consistency and coordination. Supporting planners and field operatives in maintaining a cohesive approach will also be part of your responsibilities.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills within Asset Management, including diagnosing property issues and using IT systems such as Total Mobile and Asprey to support improved data governance and investment profiling. You will work with Asset Policies to deliver excellent customer service, spend money wisely, and relentlessly improve performance.
You should have extensive experience in social housing repairs and maintenance, with a focus on customer satisfaction. A proactive approach to envisioning and implementing practical solutions for complex issues is essential. You should have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks concerning disrepairs, damp and mould, and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). Strong project management skills, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-conscious delivery, are required. Excellent communication and empathy skills for effective customer engagement are also important. You should either be qualified or pursuing professional certifications in property and asset management, and hold a full UK driving license.
