Our Graphic Design Specialist brings our charity's messages to life They design the visuals for our charity, ensuring that our communications (internally and externally) are dynamic, engaging, professional, and showcase our brand - delivering clear messages to our people, and supporting our commitment to delivering the
**best life possible** through leading and influencing sector wide change.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual, who is passionate about making a real difference. You will have the chance to showcase your skills on everything from large-scale public-facing campaigns involving our national sporting partners, MPs, and celebrities; to internal engagement events celebrating the unique achievements of the people we support and our colleagues.
**Day to Day**
Reporting to the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager (Internal Comms), your days will be spent creating and designing, responding in an agile way to ensure our messages are delivered on time and with the right impact. Whilst no two days are the same, broadly you'll spend your days:
- Creating and maintaining a portfolio of graphic templates - to turn around messages quickly
- Working in a past paced team, ensuring team/organisational deadlines are met to high standard
- Managing various design projects and briefs
- Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure all communications requirements are met
**About You**:
- Creative to the core - you love the opportunity to fuse innovative design with brand principles, keeping things fresh but with a consistent look and feel
- You crop it like its hot - working at pace to meet communications deadlines
- People might say you are a bit picky, or pedantic because you've got a really great eye for detail and accuracy
- You'll have brilliant PC Skills - adept at using Windows packages
- You are inclusive - understanding accessibility and tailoring communications for people with a range of needs and experiences
- People might say you are fairly laid back - unexpected challenge? Unanticipated need? No problem You take it all in your stride
- You like to keep your knowledge updated - Using new and emerging design trends, tools and Adobe beta features that might elevate our communications
**Skills and experience**
- You might have a relevant degree or graphic design qualification but we value experience equally
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro
- At least three years’ experience working in a Graphic Design role - in-house or agency.
- Evidenced skills in the creation of digital and web design materials.
- A rich portfolio to draw on, that showcases your different creative projects.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities whilst always delivering to the highest standards.
- Experience in maintaining and developing brand guidelines.
- Good working knowledge of filetypes and requirements for print and for web.
- Experience using WordPress/Squarespace or similar.
