**Exhibitions and Interpretation Officer**:
Purpose of the Job

At IWM we are committed to providing inspiring, accessible and appealing exhibition experiences for our audiences. This role will be an essential part of our aim to meet our visitors needs and challenge their expectations through story-led and people-focused interpretation.

As Exhibitions and Interpretation Officer you will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop our interpretation concepts and narratives and shape our creative programming.

Focusing primarily on projects at our London sites, with occasional travel to IWM Duxford, you will work to create compelling and audience-centred new interpretation, project managing a range of small and medium-sized projects. You will also manage the maintenance and updates to existing interpretation in the permanent galleries, such as our award winning First World War galleries, and provide support to the Exhibitions and Interpretation Managers for our major exhibitions programme.

Key Duties

You will be expected to work independently as well as across different teams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of IWM - using your knowledge, skills, talent and potential to the best of your ability.

You will focus at all times on delivering excellent customer service, ensure value for money at all times while being professional, courteous and demonstrating the behaviours and attributes expected of all IWM employees.

You will also adhere to all corporate standards, and use corporate systems as directed to ensure consistency of service, brand and operational standards.

You will be expected to work across departments effectively, working with individuals, partners and, where appropriate, volunteers.
