The safety of our service users and colleagues is our priority and as such we encourage and support vaccination uptake as this remains the best line of defence against COVID-19. **What you will be doing** As The Practice Nurse you will be working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will support and encourage service users to improve their physical health and will be responsible for risk assessments, supervising junior staff and implementing screeningprocesses. No two days will be the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine. **Other duties will include** - Overseeing chronic disease management - Supporting GP surgery’s at site - Health promotion - Infection control lead - Participating in audits - Overseeing vaccination programmes - Embedding Physical Health Care Pathways You will have access to the Elysium Wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage or group activities. If you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, we can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals. **To be successful as The Practice Nurse, you’ll need** - RGN experience - Experience in a similar environment. - Evidence of clinical practice development **Where you will be working** **Location: **Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET You will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation. You will work alongside the multidisciplinary to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/ complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder. Service users may have histories of offending and/or mayhave failed in previous placements **What you will get** - Annual salary of £44,460 - £5,000 welcome bonus - The equivalent of 33 days annual leave pro rata - plus your birthday off - Free meals and parking - Wellbeing support and activities - Career development and training
