** Shift pattern covering 4 on 4 off rolling rota

Long Day/Night Shifts (12hours with 1h break)

06:00 to 18:00, 07:00-19:00 and 18:30 to 06:30

Our client who's a market leader in the transportation of bulk liquid chemicals and gases is mainly focused on the safety and quality of their world-class service is now looking for a transport planner to join them on full-time, permanent basics.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate wanting to step into a transport environment.

**Purpose of the role**:

- To ensure that transport plans meet customer delivery requirements in the most cost-effective and efficient way.
- To ensure that all legislation, safety, compliance, and local agreement procedures and requirements are fully implemented.
- Responsible for ensuring that finalized plans are effectively communicated to Fuels drivers and stakeholders.
- To professionally manage verbal/written interactions with drivers and that all necessary changes or amendments are fed back and effectively incorporated into plans.
- Recording and production of management information and reporting for provision to Customers and other internal stakeholders.
- Planning bulk fuel deliveries and reporting directly to the Manager. This role carries responsibility for ensuring that all customers are supplied with fuel in the safest and cost-effective manner and whilst providing excellent customer service.
- To oversee a circa of 204 permanent drivers and 10 agency drivers. 63 LGV tractors, 66 semi-trailers.
- **Duties**:

- Point of contact for driver queries, sick absence reporting, holiday booking
- Optimising the usage of drivers and other resources to ensure most efficient and cost-effective solutions
- Efficiently plan customer's requirements daily
- Manage against key KPI's conducting reviews
- Determining what continuous improvements can be made and implemented to drive efficiency and profit
- Management of difficult situations acting with diplomacy and demonstrating professionalism on every occasion
- Management of daily plans of work across all shifts within the country
- Escalation of issues and change requirements in a timely manner
- Positive management of customer relationships
- Providing root cause analysis,
- Ability to identify solutions and implement them for any service issues that occur
- Ensure O'Licence compliance with available resources
- Ensure that all customer and reports are accurately completed and sent on time
- Ensure that the customer's resource levels are managed
- Provide Customer reasons and solutions for performance issues

- Effective utilisation of all assets and forward planning
- Manage and update customer resource requirements
- Producing a correct schedule that does not require a change
- Ensure that good relationships are built
