Maybe you are retired/semi-retired, a mum whose children have now started school, or you have some spare time on your hands, and you are looking for a part-time job. If so,you are the type of person we are looking for. Age and experience are not barriers, as award-winning industry training is provided before visiting any clients. **Because you will be commuting between clients who live in their own homes, you will need to have a valid driving licence and regular access to a vehicle.** You will be closely matched with clients that share the same interests/hobbies as yourself whenever possible. Your clients may need support with their personal care. Personal Care can be helping someone to get dressed, brush their hair, or rub moisturiserin areas that they are not agile enough to reach. It can also be preparing a bath or shower to the right temperature. It doesn't always involve taking someone to the toilet. However, that may be required with some clients that you visit. There will also be times when you take them shopping, go to the hairdressers, go on an outing, and have a light lunch. Some may need help to build their confidence and mix with others in the community. Others may need help with light housework and laundryor have reminders to take their medication. **Pay Rates, Hours & Benefits** - £10.60-£12.60 per hour plus paid mileage allowance + double pay on Bank Holidays. - Holiday Pay. - £200 refer a friend scheme. - Regular visits with the same clients to help you build relationships. - **Various Guaranteed Hour Contracts are available once you've gained experience and demonstrated reliability.**: - You will be required to work a mix of hours, including early mornings, early evenings, and a few hours on alternate weekends. As a Volunteer, Companion, Home Helper & Care Assistant in Taunton, you must demonstrate excellent timekeeping and be organised, reliable, compassionate, a good listener, and always treat the clients with dignity and respect. You must be able to adapt tochange quickly and make decisions at short notice.
