**Location**: Head Office, York (office based)

**Term**: Full time, Permanent (37.75 hrs)

**Salary**:£24-26k (Depending on Experience)

Cyclops Group is a York based leading group of electronics companies that at its core, supplies electronic components to companies worldwide.

**The position**

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a buyer, who will be responsible for supporting the sales in the sourcing and procurement of materials and services. Our key services include procurement, logistics, and supply.

**Overall responsibilities**:

- Source electronic components to fulfil customer requirements.
- Cost up bills of materials identifying shortage or lead time issues and report information to the sales and customer service teams.
- Place and expedite purchase orders to ensure on time delivery.
- Maintain stock levels of key part numbers through monitoring of lead times, min/max levels, and customer requirements. Work closely with stores to ensure accurate stock control is maintained and resolve material shortages quickly.
- Work with sales and customer services to offer material alternatives in cases of obsolescence or long lead times.
- Support the purchasing team with any other administration tasks and cover for team members during absences.

**Requirements**:

- Some commercial buying experience
- Knowledge in the electronics industry an advantage but not essential
- Has used some type of business software (ERP/MRP)
- Strong excel skills

**Remuneration**
